3Play Media was started by four MIT graduate students inspired by efforts to find affordable accessibility solutions.  We initially focused on developing a new approach to create accurate captions for online video at a fraction of the usual cost. 

As a caption provider who relied on other firms for transcription services, we know just how difficult it can be to find a balance between quality and cost. This first-hand experience led us to internally develop tools to streamline transcription, driving down cost and keeping accuracy high. 

At 3Play Media, we believe low cost transcription and captioning can be delivered without sacrificing quality.  You will find that our rates are often lower than off-shored solutions, despite our use of a domestic labor force.  How do we do this?  The 3Play Process uses patent pending technology to streamline a human’s ability to transcribe audio files.
