With 3Play Media’s live virtual encoding solution, customers will send a real-time messaging (RTMP) protocol from their video encoder to 3Play Media. 3Play Media will then listen to the customer’s stream, generate captions in the 3Play platform, and deliver captions to be encoded in accordance with “CEA-608” standard, also known as “line 21 captions”, into the video stream of the customer’s choice.

How Does Live Virtual Caption Encoding Work?
Features
Low Latency Captions
Captions will appear at around a 2-second delay versus the broadcast standard of a 4-6 second delay, ensuring an audience using captions can stay in real-time to to the content.
Live Auto Caption Failover
Our patent-pending solution will automatically failover to automatic speech recognition (ASR) captions in the rare case a human captioner loses their connection.
Intuitive Event Scheduling Interface
Easily schedule captions and order services.
Post-Event Accuracy With Ease
Captions can be sent to any streaming platforms that support RTMP-based streaming protocols and decoding of 608-CEA captions.
After the event, the raw transcript can be downloaded and upgraded to guarantee almost 100% accuracy.
